day 01 Lisbon: Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
day 02 Vila Nogueira de Azeitão/ Arraiolos/ Azaruja: Morning views of Lisbon from the emblematic statue of Christ the King and a stop in a small town Vila Nogueira de Azeitão to taste a local cheeses and a delicious cakes. Arraiolos is a village, which hides a mystery of typical portuguese carpets from the Alentejo region. In Azaruja we discover a story of portuguese cork. Redondo is a village of traditional portuguese ceramics. Overnight in the medieval town Monsaraz.
day 03 Vila Viçosa: Vila Viçosa, the portuguese capital of marble. Visit in the marble quarry and the Palace of Bragança, the last Portuguese royal dynasty on the throne. The richly decorated interior takes us back to the 16th and 17th century.
day 04 Estremos/ Marvão/ Castelo de Vide/ Castelo Branco: Our journey continues through the Alentejo region, first stop is the historical town Estremoz. Marvão is still surrounded by medieval walls and in a nice day we can see from its viewpoints a peaks of the Serra da Estrela. The picturesque town of Castelo de Vide offers local specialties and a walk in the old Jewish quarter. Our last stop today is a city of Castelo Branco, home of one of the most original baroque garden.
day 05 Monsanto/ Guarda: Monsanto is called „the most portuguese village in Portugal“ and its atypical stone houses and beautiful location prove it. The coldest and in the highest point situated city of Portugal, Guarda, where we will learn the secret of the best portuguese cheese Queijo Serra da Estrela. The final stop today is in Aveiro.
day 06 Aveiro/ Coimbra/ Fátima: Aveiro is called portuguese Venice because of a nice water channel in the city center. Coimbra is a city of student traditions, since is a home of the oldest and most prestigious university of the country. Fátima, a world known pilgrims town.
day 07 Lisbon: Return to Lisbon. Morning tour to Belém district and its treasures of manuelistics architecture. After a lunch in a local restaurant continues our walking tour of old Lisbon: Alfama and Mouraria. Farewell dinner. * tour done by public transport.
day 08 Transfer to the airport.
